Woah. I never knew that such an organization existed. Neither did I know that I am but a blithering idiot who follows the athor massed amount of sheep lead to believe a whole bunch of lies.
Unfortunately at this moment in time the page with them counter arguing against common "myths" is under construction... So unfortunately I can't exactly counter-argue those. So I'd like to focus on how governments or other high up interlects are all keeping the "truth" from us... For no appart reason at all! I mean what would I do if I found out the earth is flat that could harm the human race?! And that website itself reeks of propoganda and condemnation of the "liars" around them. I mean honestly if your having an argument and least have some respect.
I don't know how to answer this, really. This could be as fake as the "real" information that we get, because you cannot ever know how the Earth looks like, until you have flown in space yourself. Personally, I don't rely on facts, but using my mind, it would not make sense if ships travel long distances and, as proposed in the website, simply fall of the edge of the Earth, because it is not happening, as far as I can tell.
Conclusion: Neither are fake, and neither are real, but Greek Philosophers did conduct experiments, that defied the common law that the Earth was flat, and showed numerous answers to questions that would have remained unsolved with the old theory, therefore it would make more sense to believe that the Earth is spherical in shape.
Come on Duwane, are you telling me that the ONLY reason you believe the earth is speherical is because your textbooks say so? :) I could accept that from younger students...
Photographs can be doctored, gravity can be explained away as earth rising upwards at the rate of 9.8m/sec. However, there are very simple ways to prove that the earth is not flat - for which you don't have to rely on anyone else's observation but your own. Think harder or do some research ;)
AFTER researching and collecting my thoughts... I still find that that website is preposterous!
On a clear day, looking across the horizon on a boat sailing into Sydney harbour (Experience) or on any beach for example (If theres something in the distance) it is obvious that objects in the distance do not just pop out of nowhere, they rise up out of the horizon. The incline of a sphere means that its not possible to see everything else on earth in the distance!
And its laughable that these "intellectuals" have never been on a airplane before. Do pilots just randomly steer us round in the wrong direction to make sure no one discovers the "lie". Sir your movement theory is applicable at first thought, but once again it would take a hell of alot of effort to launch something into space right? Oh, gosh theres just so much wrong...

More than 2000 years ago Eratosthenes of Cyrene found a way to prove that the earth is round. This was before satellites, planes, space shuttles, or telescopes. Try to find out what his method was.
Well thats actually another very smart way to think of the earth, because sometimes when we see shapes at a certain angle we can mistake them. Personally I believe anything is possible. So I wouldn't make it an argument to begin with, I'd just let them be and believe in whatever they want. :)

I would disagree and simply tell them to go to the viewing platform called On The Top at Burj Khalifa, where you can actually see the curvature of the Earth.

I haven't travelled or been to many countries, but I can still figure out that the Earth isn't flat! If it was where would all the water reside? Wouldn't it just pour off the face of the earth if it was completely flat, because nothing would contain it!
But then, they might say that the round earth would have the same problems. The water would still pour off. That's where gravity comes in! A flat earth would have no gravity!
Just think of it this way. A flat metal dish (the flat earth) and on it, tiny metal pins and needles (all that lives on the earth). Now take a magnet, stick it in the center of the dish but on opposing the pins and needles. Now flip the dish around, guess what happens? Almost all of the metal fragments fall off! Whereas a metallic sphere with a magnet built inside it, would hold almost all off the metal fragments, because its gravitational pull is centred and concentrates on all the objects in its radius.
A magnet or the gravity of the earth has a radius, and so a flat earth and gravity cannot mix!

During the process of earth forming from dust and celestial bodies it span into some shape but maths was not invented at the time so the only possible shape it could become was a disc (Simplest of shapes) .
Plus the dinosaurs prove it being flat, where did they all go ? Obviously they fell of the edge ! there was a shortage of food so they had to venture further and further eventually leading to the tip and dinosaurs being dumb as they were , they all just fell off the earth.
Even Physics prove it ! Do balls fly ? No we don't use the ball as a object associated with flying.
But a disc flys, take a frisbee for example when you throw it , it acts like a flying saucer, Thus explaing how the earth goes around the sun because of it's disc shape (Perhaps someone threw the earth).

We've seen pictures of the Earth from the Space and other pictures like the Curve of the Earth from the highest points in the World. But as sir said, how did People figure out that the Earth was spherical before all these images? I found this one out of a several examples quite simple to understand and prove that the Earth is Spherical. With a pair of binoculars, you can see ships slowly 'sinking' below the horizon as they sail further and further out in to the ocean and then watch them come back. They certainly didn't fall off the edge of the earth! Another proof that I read was about the shadows of things. If you took a lamp post and saw its shadow from different points on the Earth, they would measure different whereas if the Earth was flat the measurement would be the same from all points viewed under the Sun. There must be other ways too.
Well speaking in detail about Eratosthenes findings is quite difficult. But what he did was pinpoint his location in Egypt, at a specific time (When the dun was directly above him, during summer) then ride north (Calculate the distance) and once there did the same thing at the same time. He found that there was a large angle of difference. And with some extremely complicated calculations he concluded that the earth had a circumference (from north to south) meaning it was impossible for the earth to be flat. His findings have been accepted for hundreds of years etc etc... There might have been some miscaluclations but generally speaking he was fairly correct.
If the Sun was a disc aswell, then at some point of time, from the Earth, the Sun would appear as a bright vertical line in the Sky and not a circular ball as it always does.

One thing that would have convinced me was, if they would have proven photos from space as fake.
The organisation is out of its mind. I still think the earth is spherical rather than disc shaped due to many reasons like the the sun setting or the sun rising or going around the world. If it was flat I wonder how travelers travelled.
Never ever, ever knew that such an organization ever existed.
