Discursive Writing - Fashion

It's cross-curricular week at school and the theme is "fashion." In coordination with the other departments, the year 7s are working on a leaflet; the year 8s are working on a poster; and the year 9s are working on an essay. 

In the past, men wore wigs and women wore hats; traditional clothes were widely worn; and fabric fibres were mostly natural. All this has changed in the last fifty or so years. How do you think fashion will change in the next hundred years? 

Discursive Writing

Desert Island Discs is a long-running BBC Radio 4 programme. It is said by the Guinness Book of Records to be the longest-running music programme in the history of radio. Guests are invited to imagine themselves cast away on a desert island, and to choose five pieces of music, to take with them. At the end of the programme they choose the one piece they regard most highly. They are then asked which book they would take with them; (It is assumed for the sake of discussion that the Works of Shakespeare and religious books are already on the island.)

So, I'd like you to choose five pieces of music and one book to take with you to your desert island and then say why. (The music doesn't have to be in English -- but the book does).

The book I’d take would be The Collected Works of P. G. Wodehouse.
