It would be awful to have something like that happen to one of the greats or legends. I think this is a reminder for us not to take things for granted.

My dad always asks me;
'What would be worse; no legs or no eyes?'

I always say eyes. The eyes are vital for experience and I don't know what I would do without them

Like health itself, the loss of such a thing can’t be imagined until it occurs.

It really shows how much we truly take for granted. I've always thought sight would be more drastic to loose. But after reading the piece, i have to admit, Voice and our manners of speaking are a part of our personality. Its hard to imagine how one would survive without it.

Its really tragic to be robbed of something you've really come to love, especially when it involves doing something you love.
