Sand Art

This is special. I wish we'd spend more time creating instead of destroying. Kseniya Simonova, a Ukranian artist, creates an art narrative set during the Patriotic Russian War and the II WW.

It feels great to see that some people actually care. She is a very talented perosn in My opnion. It felt as if I just watched a movie of the world being destroyed by its own people, fortunately there is still time to save this world and I think many countries have realised this and are doing a great job to help make the world a better place again.Great transformation between the events that took place.Wow!Just amzaing the art and most importantly the message being conveyed through it.
That states that with love you will be happier than ever and with all that violence, love with be taken over and no one will be able to enjoy the beauty of life. You should not ignore, instead care for everything ou have around yourself.
Truly great!

Wonderful sentiments, Sonal. Very reflective. I agree.

I've always liked sand art. The confident stokes with which the artist must work with, the fragility of the art, which can be wiped away with so little effort. It's quite beautiful.

I think this one is the best one I've seen so far, not for the quality of the art, but more because of the meaning behind it. Sand art is always beautiful, but only a few are as meaningful as the story that was told in this one. It's a really outstanding video.

It's strange. There's not much to say about this, other than what Sonal already said.

I just disagree with : "I think many countries have realised this and are doing a great job to help make the world a better place again."

She has merely displayed the feelings inside of her, the undisputed hate of war, the poison that infects everyone who enters on a battlefield, the emphasis that destruction can eliminate more than just an arm, but an entire soul, an entire living life form. Even though i did not actually feel what she displayed, I used logic to find that she is showing a blind message. There are points (or flaws) in the drawings, that illustrates how no-one can understand her feelings, and she interprets this by showing a few vague "spots", you can only see them, I cannot explain it.

Overall, it was remarkable, assuming it wasn't edited and is 100% genuine, and completely emotional.

This was wonderful. I was mesmerized.

She's got a lot of passion, and it shows. That's what made this so great. Not just her talent. Her passion. You could even see when the camera caught her face, with every stage or feeling - anger or love, since they were the most dominant ones - the expression on her face transformed as well.

I think there were two reasons people emotionally responded to her and her art. The beauty of her work. The genuine heartfelt emotion that really invaded the place once she started.

Very intelligent, too, to tell a story, express yourself vividly to a great audience through art.

Amazing video.

Oh my god.
The way she changes the perspective and emotions in her drawings are amazing.
It's nice to see that in this diverse world we live in, there is still appreciation for such creativity.

Kseniya Simonova is really a very talented person. What she expressed is something very important and the significance of this was clearly shown in the tears of the audience. I also feel that sand was a good medium to demonstarte this message as it holds true for what the drawings were showing in the first place; how our lives can change with violence with just a stoke of a finger.

holy mother of god
i have never seen antyhing more beautiful in my entire life

the concept alone, of portraying a story through SAND is one thing but to be so confident and talented is another. i absolutely love the way she manipulates emotions with a brush of a finger and how she transformed two people sitting on a bench into a young woman.
theres just so much i can say!

i also admire how shes put so much effort into such a meaningful purpose, and to share it with the world, instead of creating something else

Truly fantastic and creative. There is just so much emotion and impact in her message. It is essential that WE realise the WE are the cause behind all of this and also essential is the recuperation involved. She is extremely talented, i marvelled at how she displayed one emotion, which was shattered into another with just a few strokes. The message she is conveying, i believe, is that there is an enormous amount of hurt and pain and violence in the world, but only with love and caring can you truly avoid getting soaked in the ocean of insanity which is why we still exist.

This was completely beautiful, breathtaking, just pure amazing. The thing i really liked was she put a story behind it and it fit the music perfect. Unfortunatly that story was no make believe, and i saw tears in the audiences eyes. The point is these things are happening, places are getting destroyed, and people are getting killed all for what?

The images to go along were what took my breath away though. She moved so swiftly not missing a beat! That is just genuine talent.

A big inspiration!

P.S. I'm getting me a sandbox ! :)

This is a very beautiful video showing that people do care and have love towards humanity. Millions were killed in the war and she expressed her love through creativity. As Sonal V said, We in general are destructing humankind however we do have time to save it, if we all co-operate...What would you rather have a world where we can live in and enjoy or have no place at all and go on destructing till we ourselves destruct. Life or Death? I choose life.

this video totally kept me mesmerised. I have seen sand art before but this was totally spectacular. I actually sat my family down and we all watched it together.
she has put in so much emotion and narrated an entire story without using words.she is very talented. its true when people say that a picture speaks a thousand words, the message she delivered, the emotions she portrayed could not have been done better using the alpahabet.
simply loved it!!!

I've seen art like this before... i think it was in a TV add about Tourism in Africa, that was the first time I saw Sand Art and thought it was brilliant how the artist was continuously changing their piece of work.

But this doesnt compare! That was pretty breath taking and I'm guessing for those who were closer to the war or had parents in it, it would be quite emotional the way she displayed a brilliant timeline of a war. The most spectacular difference between this and the TV ad is that shes right there, doing it infront of a live audience and her actions herself were amazing, you felt as if she really cared and is extremely passionate on the matter at hand.

WOW!! wow wow...that is amazing, words fail me currently. She's just so confident with her strokes, yet she's so gentle with the sand, it's just too good a talent to miss, i can't believe the world doesn't know about her! Really i know nothing at all about the war she just showed us, but even i started tearing up a bit.. her art was alive, it was expressing.. ofcourse the music helped too, it was just all so perfect. And i think that if these kind of things were shown to the world, maybe it would appeal to the humane side of people and maybe wars would lessen, maybe people would wake up and see what it really does. It'd be better to wisen up now instead of waiting for it to be too late, right?

I am in shock! i have never seen anyone express themselves so clearly and with such creativity!
i could see what was in her heart..i could feel what she was feeling. she had created a moving masterpiece. she reminded me of all those people who lost their lives in front of their loved ones.
i can wish to have such a beautiful talent to express my feelings.

She is an amazing artist who has a mind blowing talent and it is brilliant how she locates a sad picture in a happy one and transforms it completely. And she is very quick in doing this with perfection as if patterns made by wind on the desert sand. She carves out an eye opening and very beautiful message of how beautiful thing come to an end because of violence, through her god-gifted talent by the using the sand as her canvas and her own hands as a brush.

I had tears in my eyes with this one. Makes you really realize how much war has taken away. What impressed me more was detail in her images and to master something like that is absolutely stunning.
