In this video a Venezuelan TV crew play a prank on a lady in which she is scared almost to the point of having a seizure. Is it funny or is it unethical? Where do we draw the line as far as pranks are concerned?
Ok, with my stomach settled, that was one of the funniest pranks I have ever seen, hahaha, she screams like there is no tomorrow, and at the end she almost beats up the guys, hahaha.
On the other hand, she took it extremely seriously. It was almost like she had no superstition whatsoever, and obviously, she hates pranks. This probably scarred her for life, and now when shes in a parking lot, she will always be cautious and alert.
HAHAHAHA... That was so funny... I have never seen someone react so much to something like that, like it was a scene from "scary movie", hahaha. I enjoyed it alot, thanks for uploading this :D.
I'm quite speechless atm. Firstly with that crew taking it way, way, way to far. And for Nour laughing... I thought he was the serious, intelligent one!
I really didnt laugh... Sure there was some comedy in it but that was totally over-taken by the unjustifiable wrongfulness in what they did. I can see where some people would laugh and I have an extremely good idea about who will be totally against this. And that'll be [hear me out here] every single girl that posts a comment. Their comments will be the most effective and hopefully they can put words to this sort of thing...
O.M.G. That was extremely stupid. I cannot believe or better yet I am appalled that these idiots took this stupid, stupid prank way too far. For crying out loud the woman was screaming for her life! And they were still trying to scare her. That is just completely inhumane. I also agree with Duwane. Mo, how is that funny man? I thought you were the intelligent and logical one of the class...okay maybe some would fine some parts a tiny bit comedic, but there is nothing comedic or even remotely funny about a person who is in pain or is scared out or their wits. I also agree that the girls would definitely comment on this very seriously.
There is a fine line between a practical joke and something that has been taken too far. I believe that practical jokes are completely unethical and inhumane. Some might find it funny, but it is only funny if no one gets hurt, and that is someething that almost never happens. At least one person who has been a victim of a practical joke would be affected or maybe even scarred for life. I repeat, NOTHING is funny about a person getting hurt in anyway!
P.S. sorry about the dramatic ending but I had to make a point. :)
I totally agree with Duwane and Payam here. That was simply horrific, the woman was clearly scared out of her mind! Yet the crew continued playing the prank. How inhuman can some people get? The part when she was on the verge of losing her mind and threw the chair, they should have just ended it. I believe that she will be having nightmares and phobias for quite a long period of time .
I agree with Payam & eliqa. This can lead to VERY dangerous things...It can even lead to a heart attack if the person is really frightened or a nervous breakdown. Not to mention the minor effects like Nightmares & phobias as eliqa mentioned. Honestly,I am too scared to watch the video because it looks like it involves Ghosts & things like that & im really scared of those things specially at this time of the night. I Guess people find it funny because its not happening to them. I dont think they would laugh if they were put in that situation. :)
No one is intelligent, but no one is stupid. No one is completely serious, yet no one is completely funny.
Do not forget this.
The reason why it was funny, is because the woman was not using her common sense. If you were in that position, would you scream out with insanity, to such an extent, that you are almost about to have a heart attack? Be logical and you will say no, because it is too farfetched. I also laughed because it was the perfect target, someone who is seldom funny.
A few things about this video.
1) I believe it is 100% fake, since it was shown on T.V (if it was real, most likely the people behind the prank would have been sued), and, to enforce this, did no-one notice how fast she reacted? It was like as if she KNEW there was something there.
2) The position of the camera was probably the stupidest part, like when she was leaving, did she not think once to turn around, or look in the mirror? How could she not notice something behind her?
3) For all those who have done your research on the human mind, you will find that the human mind is not capable into falling into such tricks. I bet she got scared because she thought someone was going to stab her in the car, so she did not see the makeup, nor the outfit, so how could she be that blind?
4) The instant reaction would be to hit at it, no matter what it is, for every human. You would recoil in schock, and your brain would respond to it by secreting adrenalin, thus your arms will be caught in a reflex action, and, while swinging to open the door, you will (90% chance) hit the person/thing, before running out.
5) No-one noticed that she looked straight at the camera, in many points, and then quickly drifted her eyes away. A camera in a parking lot would have a massive, blinding light shining from the side, extremely hard to miss, so no-one noticed this?
6) It was mainly funny because i was imagining a person who was really that ignorant and stupid, to believe in those things. Yet, in the Philippines, there is a spreading mythology of ghosts appearing there, called asswang, which she might believe in (do your research).
To express in this point further, she could have seen one of them before, so the people behind the video were only stupid for not realising this.
Please think logically before commenting on anything. Payam, how is it not funny dude? I thought you were more logical on stuff like this. It's fake. Watch it again, carefully, and do not miss the camera moving and adjusting its position.
(In general - to everyone)
If you fall to something like this, how can you sustain and eliminate the many deceitful acts in life?
Conclusion: It is fake, thus it is funny, since it is not real, and it contains a similarity with the movie "scary movie". I am still laughing until now...
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHH woaah! honestly i actually found it funny. in the beginning when the person was in the car, her reaction was hilarious!! i do think she waaaaaaaaaaaaaay over reacted, cause u can tell that the "scary person" was fake! yeah people might feel bad for her cause it was meant to be a prank, but still she seriously took it overboard especially with all the chair throwing and things.
and duwane, i guess i just proved your statement wrong, because i found that funny. maybe to some extent it wasnt right to do something like that to someone but thats the point of a prank. i mean, its more her fault cause she over reacted SO much that people are feeling bad for her. and to be quite honest, i dont feel bad for her. i mean if that happened to me, yeha id scream but id get over it in like 30 seconds.
Ok.. that was prettyyy funny, but i don't think I'd be saying that if that happened to me.. now see, they should've just stopped after her first reaction, i mean her first reaction was TERRIBLE.. it was absolutely vile for them to continue.. it kind of sucked that she didn't get a couple of punches at them.. now THAT would've been funny.. but seriously that was just horrible otherwise
Read Nishika's comment, Duwane and Payam, thus showing you that that is exactly how any normal human would react, unless its a fake screen, like in this case, whether male or female.
I personally think it was quite fake, the lady's reaction scared me more than the prank, LOL :P
But if that was a true scenario, than my opinions vary. If you 'have done your research on the human mind', then you will also find that any human with the general instincts each one of us is born with will react in almost the same manner. People panic, making things worse. When facing danger, one believes anything that happens in front of them. When people are perturbed to death, they wont exactly think of looking around for hidden cameras, or check to verify whether the 'ghost' or cause of their fear is authentic or not! Of course, when in their right mind, people can rationalise and make sense and think up theories and do all sorts of researches to feel courageous and strong. When it happens to you in the basement of a parking lot at an odd hour when you're all alone, let's see how well your reflexes work.
OMG! that was too mean to be funny! Thank god she didn't have a gun on her! What if she had a faint heart and actually died, then they'll be the one whos laughing! I feel horrile for the poor lady! It did look like she was over reacting in some parts but still! Thats obnoxious!
Faiza, I think your comment makes a lot of sense. I agree. Except I'm not sure if it's fake or not. This prog is quite well known in Venezuela and is notorious for pulling such pranks. She could be an actor. But what if she isn't? What if she's just a superstitious person who believes in ghosts? Is it ok to do this to her?
Undoubtedly, there's a lot of editing going on. But that doesn't necessarily mean the whole thing was fake.
That was bad. They should'nt have done it the second time.It could be fake, because if the crew saw the lady get so scared in the first prank they would'nt have done the second prank themselves, but they did so it could be planned.
OK first of all, I'm like the biggest coward you'll probably ever see in your life, so a prank like that would probably make me speechless for like 3 days.
Having said that, it really all depends on the person who's being pranked. Someone could've been frightened but then takes it a lot more lightly than that woman did. (And I agree with Fiaza, her screaming scared me more than the prank itself), and some people .. well you saw in the video, I need not say any more really.
What I thought was unethical was the fact that they continued the prank after the first time that woman jumped out of the car, and screamed so loud people in Europe could probably hear her. If it were me pulling a prank like that on someone, and they reacted like that from the head start of the prank, I'd cut it off right away. I agree with Myra as well, something like this could've caused this woman a heart attack, assuming the reaction wasn't fake, this could've gone even worse than it already had.
At the beginning it looked like it could've been a funny prank, but soon enough it was obvious these people have no consideration whatsoever for people's reactions and the dangers associated with pranks sometimes, so I honestly didn't find it funny at all.
Also, laughing at her while she's attempting to kill the crew around her with a chair was nasty. Very nasty, actually. Again, I say this assuming her reaction was genuine, and there was no acting involved.
No offence to anyone, but I'd think it's quite mean to find this funny. I was so scared the woman would drop dead any moment in these seemingly very long 6 minutes.
i think it was funny at the end of the day ghost dont exist well i think they dobt theres allways a resonable explanation for it. her reactions were funny and she took it a bit to far trying beat up the guys.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Sorry, it REALLY made me laugh. LOL, okay so it was really mean, and if i were her I'd react the same way.. maybe not as dramatically, but similar. Come to think of it, everything's funny as long as it happens to someone else. It might be fake, but even so it was entertaining. I agree with Zaid, I'd probably beat the living hell out of that thing in the car:P
However.. if that were me instead of her, I'd probably be REALLY affected by the prank, even if, as many above say ^ the 'person' that was supposed to scare her looked really fake. When you're in a situation where something like that's happening, you don't really look into the details.
We might have noticed how fake the whole set up seemed, how prank-like it looked but to her, it was just something that managed to scare the crap out of her when not many people were around. If something comes out and screams in your face when the atmosphere around you is silent, its only instinctive to scream back and be overly shocked. Either way, this really did make me laugh :P Feel bad for the woman though, hope she recovers from it.
I agree with Faiza, the prank looked pretty fake. You have to sympathize with the woman, what if she went into a shock or fainted or something like that? Wouldnt the prankers feel a bit scared as she might sue them for pranking her?
hahahahahaha. It was extremely funny, I think the lady was over exaggerating.
I personally have seen worse pranks, like two guys putting a barrel of bees inside the limousine where their friends are. (Watch Jackass)
I think she's just gullible or took it way to seriously. Sorry, If I ound blunt but thats just how I see it. I'd understand if she was a four year old or someone younger but she's a full grown woman.
Omigod! that was horrifying!!! these pranksters should be sued. she could hv had a serious seizure. what were they thinking????? It was appalling!! Ok, fine, maybe the brave ones can endure it, but what about the faint-hearted? And it happened just so suddenly. Out of nowhere...so obviously it had to have such an effect. If I had been in her place I would have them sued.
Holy cow woman, get a life. As everyone has already brought up, her reaction was way too dramatic. So right now, after completing the video, I closed my eyes and tried to envision myself in her position. Firstly, the face in the car that leaped out at her was quite fake-looking, evidently a mask of some sort. And as Mo mentioned, any human's first reaction would be to lash out the unexpected horror in front of you. In the unfortunate event of me in that front seat, I would probably scream, punch 'it' in the face and get out of the car. After my pulse reduces and my heart beat evens out, I would try to find out what the hell was in my car. Then again, different people react in different ways. No objection, I would be pretty freaked, just not to that extent. When that man came to help her, the continuous screaming emitted from her was outrageous. I mean, come on, you've got some guy with you who's trying to help, you should be explaining to him rationally what happened, and be gratified for the company and feel safe, not throw the chair around and scream like a maniac. If this truly was 'real' and if she was not an 'actress', then I'd say this lady is a really bad sport. The group pranking her were in most likeliness her friends, and the right thing to do would be to get mad at them in the beginning, but laugh it off. Yet, judging by her demented reaction, the group probably should have seized the prank or stopped halfway. It may seem comical to a few of us, but not to the lady witnessing these horrific events unfolding before her. I'd like to provide an anecdote of my own : A few months ago, a group of friends and I entered the 'Tomb' which is situated in the Wafi Mall. Grudgingly, I must admit we were too horrified and in pain to go on. The guide took pity on us, and offered to let us out through a back door, instead of forcing us to complete the journey. This group should have shown the same sympathy towards her. On the other hand, if all this was staged, I don't see the point of it.
I'm going with the fake scenario and I agree that if it were real they would have stopped from fear of getting sued.
And about where we draw the line as far as pranks are concerned I think it all depends on the reaction of the person. If the woman in the video had not acted that scared and instead kept her cool or laughed it off, all of us surely would perceive it as a hilarious prank. As saying goes, it's all fun and games, until someone get a seizure and the TV crew gets sued. ^___^
People have mentioned it a thousand times, but i gotta say that her reaction was over the top.
But then again, people take things in different ways, and she may have been really terrified to the point of losing her sanity. If it was indeed real, then you have got to feel sorry for the poor woman. People may end up in the loony bin due to their minds not being able to take that amount of fright, and the people who were pranking her should have known when to draw the line. They should have based their next activities on her reactions, and any good reader of body language would say that the woman has had enough.
I dont know exactly what to say, but I can't judge her, since if put in the same situation, I would freak out as well.
It was quite funny though, but only probably coz we're merely watching it and not going through the terrifying things she went through (IF IT WAS INDEED REAL). That amount of stress + emotion can damage a person a LOT.
And about being logical..A person can't afford to be logical when they are extremely threatened or scared out of their mind. They would adhere to instinct and their own emotions. You wouldn't exactly say "HMM, LET US STOP AND THINK AND STAY IN THIS CAR WITH THIS REALLY FREAKY SCARY THING THAT IS TOTALLY FREAKING ME OUT". Everyone would scream and jump out.
I won't ignore the possibility that this is a fake. With all the garbage that people deem as 'reality tv' these days, who knows what's real and what's scripted anymore. :S
Okay now to the serious part. I found that a bit retarded becuse, Those pranksters didnt seem to notice that the lady was beyond fright!
In my personal opinion it went a bit too far. They should have stopped after that corpse bride appeared the second time. It seemed stupid to bring two corpse brides in the ending!
I am totally disturbed by the video, I can't even imagine what that lady must have gone through. The people carrying out the prank must have realised she's frightened by the incident in the car and stopped! but no .. they go on to scare her to the limit that she goes mad. I don't find it funny at all and this was a prank streched to the limit that makes it scary..
Honestly speaking, yes, entertainment wise this was extremely funny however being the victim and being the bystander are two totally different view points. Being viewers , we ourselves do not experience what the victim is going through and therefore are not able to share the same reaction. It is hard to put ourselves into a situation such as this and as a result, prefer to sit back and laugh. :D
Well, this video was funny and equally terrifying at the same time. I also agree that there must have been a whole lot of editing going on here, but then again, if most of it wasnt, then that was the most inhumane thing i have ever seen. Even thought this video probably wasn't real, it just shocks me that people would want to go to such lenghts to get satisfaction out of someone else's misery and fright.
LOL, this so has to be fake, if not god help that woman,
actually the monsters in this remind me of a place me and my friends used to go to in Vegas called Frightdome. it was insanely scary they chased us around with real chainsaws and everything, i come out crying pretty much every time!
Everyone finds it funny. What if it wasn't fake? Maybe the woman is petrified of ghosts or whatever the thing in the car was. Imagine having to face your biggest fear, again & again. Just like Tannya said, it's always funny until it happens to you. It's messed up. That poor woman wont sleep for weeks. Some people are complete rejects. *shakes head*
ahaaaa!! ok now I'm in two minds about if i found it funny or not??? yeah at first that man with the mask suddenly appearing mad me jerk aswel so i laughed but i guess her reaction was really overwhelming, she just kept screaming i was totally shocked but i guess maybe if you are in that position one never knows how they will react. although watching it it seems really fake!!! i have to stand with ishita on this one her first reaction was really disturbing they should have just ended it there!! it really got taken way over a limit, she was totally upset and scared it could have led to worse consequences!!!
It was very funny to watch however if we were in that position, we would react in a similar manor; maybe slightly less dramatic! I think that they should have stopped after the first prank as IF it was REAL, it could have lead to serious health issues such as a heart attack. Playing with someone's life is not correct and where possible should be put to a stop.
I didn't find it funny, just because that woman's theatrics totally killed it. It would have been more funny if she attacked the 'ghosts' or something like that, instead of going in such dramatics. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, I don't think it's real. And on the off chance that it is, it was a rather poorly thought out prank.
That prank was uncalled for lets face it . if any of you guys were in her position , you would have reacted almost the same way if not less. I think its absolutely pathetic why people would receive any kind of twisted pleasure by watching another person scream and cry in that manner i personally don't think there was any point to watching this video except to look at it and have a jolly good laugh WATCH THE VIDEO AGAIN ...LOOK AT THE WOMANS FACE ..LOOK AT IT listen to her voice . That wasn't a normal day at the office
The lady's first reaction itself was very shocking. Anyone would scream but such an extreme reaction was unexpected. However everyone reacts in different ways and take pranks differently. This lady is was obviously not used to such pranks and got horrified to such an extent. I think after seeing such an extreme reaction from the lady they should have stopped there and then. What was the point of continuing the prank after seeing her state. The line should be drawn from the point when people start taking the prank seriously or get scared in such a way.Pranks shouldn't harm anyone. I think the video was not funny. It became a serious matter.
That was HORRIBLE! If it was me in that lady's place I would have probably ended up slapping all of them round the face!!! I agree with Eliqa, they should have stopped it after she got into the car and freaked out. Pranks like these maybe fun to us who are simply viewing it but to the people who are experiencing it, it could probably leave them in a fit or something. For people who are okay with taking such pranks it is fine. But for people like me, who have'nt watched even ONE horror movie in my ENTIRE life because I tend to get something somewhat like a seizure, it would probably kill us. Jokes to an extend is fine. But this is certainly way beyond the limit.
Maybe the video is just an act or it is edited but if something like this occurred in real life then the prank is pulled off a bit too much. After the first two scares the pranksters should have stopped, thankfully the women was fine in the end, but if it was a person who suffers from heart diseases would have been killed in the process of pranking. The woman that was being pranked on was a very sensitive type of a person, and the scare disrupted her mental stability for a moment and that is why it seems as if she over reacted. If a prankster plans to play a prank on a person, the prankster should first put himself/herself in the place of that person and ask himself/herself that how will they take the shock or scare?

Hmmmmmm
I'd scream. then beat the crap out that thing in the car.
i think it was funny
at the end of the day ghost dont exist well i think they dobt theres allways a resonable explanation for it.
her reactions were funny and she took it a bit to far trying beat up the guys.
Nikol 10 g2
Omigod!
that was horrifying!!!
these pranksters should be sued.
she could hv had a serious seizure.
what were they thinking?????
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHAHAH *breathe* hahahahahahaha!!!
That wasnt even SCARY! JUST EXTREMELY HILARIOUS!
she looked like she was about to Die screaming!
LOL!!
that was too much...that lady was horrified...they should have stopped after the first one.
LOL,
this so has to be fake,
if not god help that woman,
actually the monsters in this remind me of a place me and my friends used to go to in Vegas called Frightdome. it was insanely scary they chased us around with real chainsaws and everything, i come out crying pretty much every time!
but i feel her pain.
That prank was uncalled for
lets face it . if any of you guys were in her position , you would have reacted almost the same way if not less.
I think its absolutely pathetic why people would receive any kind of twisted pleasure by watching another person scream and cry in that manner
i personally don't think there was any point to watching this video
except to look at it and have a jolly good laugh
WATCH THE VIDEO AGAIN ...LOOK AT THE WOMANS FACE ..LOOK AT IT
listen to her voice .
That wasn't a normal day at the office
ohh yeah , if this prank wasn't real
this woman did a pretty good job
and those weird women in the white dresses , looked plain weird XD
It was clearly rigged!
