Two Reasons to Learn English

Don't you feel sorry for the poor girl? That's logorhoea (verbal diarrhoea) at its worst. Does anyone at Winchester suffer from it? I wonder : )

The first video was funny haha. The second video had no relation to learning English whatsoever, just that America is, or almost is, the world's stupidest country (no offence), so it has no relation to learning the English Language, apart from the weak mental power in her head. I have never heard of the disease though.

It's not a disease. Just an expression for people who speak incessantly without substance.

(Please refrain from insulting entire countries - we are a multicultural school :)

... I see your videos, and raise my hand to hit my forehead.

Anyway, to a degree I do suffer from logorhoea. Especially when I meet new people or when I'm standing in front of a lot of people. Needless to say, not the best first impression.

I do feel pretty sorry for the girl, however haha. I wouldn't be completely coherent in front of so many people (my own logorhoea, woot) but thankfully it's nothing as bad as poor Miss South Carolina.

*Goes to work on social skills now*

This is about the second video.
"everywhere, like, such as."
HAHA how in the world can you end a sentance like that :P
I actually laughed out loud. Ive seen that video before, it never fails to amuse me :D

The first video was mirthful.
The second video: She was blabbing... It was total nonsense. what was she saying? I scarcely understood a word……it was a disaster. I actually had to watch that video with subtitles.
This is what she said “I personally believe that U.S Americans are unable to do so because uh, some people out there in our nation, don’t have maps and I believe that our education like such as south Africa and uh the Iraq, everywhere like such as and I believe that they should our education over here in the U.S should help the U.S should help south Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our children”.
We do need to work on our English

The first video was hilarious and potrays the importance of knowing English, which is the universal language..
Furthermore, the second video trully shows how embarrassing it will be when you don't know English. It is very important to know the language for one to express themselves and convey a message to people from any part of the world.
I feel pity for the girl because she doesn't even realize she's been blabbering the answer as she gives a wide, cute grin at the end!

i remember my math teacher showing me the first video in fourth grade actually :)

As funny as that first video is, it is quite scary to think of that actually happening, so perhaps the german coast guard should find someone a tad more fluent.

The second video reminds me why i did not hang out with the typical girls when i lived in America, though i feel sorry for her, i think she should of spent a little less time on her looks and more on her logic.

she could have gone on that stage fully natural and answered that question with a little more heart even, i would have voted for her in one beat.

The first video was too good-I particularly liked the way the guy said "What are u sinking about?":). And poor Miss. South Carolina.

I dont know about the second reason, but the first is that English is the most widely spoken language and therefore you must learn it inorder to prevent cases like 'what are you sinkig about?'.
In the second video, I thought that she dint have to learn eglish but learn how to speak properly and when to use what words.

English, first and foremost, is an international language where almost 90% of the planet's population speaks (the guy in the first clip being in the 10%!!) which is why it is essentisl to have english as your second language if not first. I didn't really notice extreme logorhea in the second clip. I think the girl was just nervous! Poor thing.

the first video: whoever had the idea of this commercial is a genius!!!
i literally fell of my chair laughing out loud!!! i just adore this ad , its very clever and funny! x)
as for the second video i really do feel sorry for her!!!
she worked so hard to get to that point of the contest and blew it all of just because she (being a native american ) could not get her words straight.

The first video was definitely brilliant :) The person who thought about it must have been a genius.
The second video is a little bit sad. She got do far and just because she couldn't get her words straight she sounds quite uneducated :p

loved these video's by the way :)
