Ayesha's Review

Star Seeker by Tim Bowler
Review by Ayesha Ahmed
'This is an extremely ambitious novel, incorporating many themes of philosophical and metaphysical concern, abstractions which enrich what is already a wonderfully engrossing narrative. Highly recommended.' Books for Keeps (five stars)

'A hugely rewarding read. The intensity and quality of Tim Bowler's characters are superb throughout. Should leave a huge impression on the reader.' Amazon

The book Starseeker by the award winning author Tim Bowler is a complete adventure filled book about a young boy and his life after losing his father.

This book is filled with several unanticipated twists and turns. This book is about a boy who is an excellent pianist. He lost his father for two years and fell in with a group of law breaking kids, who tell him to commit a crime.

Luke, a boy who even after grieving for his father for two years, was not able to return his life back to normal, and adjust himself to the new circumstances he was in. He had become involved in the illegal actions and mischief with 3 other boys, who planned to rob the house of an old, rich widow, and Luke was responsible for the challenge, if he wanted to be in their gang. When he gets inside the house by careful planning, he sees a little girl locked inside a room. This is where the story really begins.

This is a very captivating novel which had me occupied in it so deeply, that I lost track of time every time I picked up the book. The author has infused so many characters, plots intriguing twists and turns into the story, which made me curious to find out what would happen next. The images created by the description are so vivid, and virtual that you can imagine everything that is going on moment by moment very clearly. I recommend this book to people who have the crave for adventure/mystery books, and for people who have the patience to read it.

Thank you for the review Ayesha.
I would definitely like to read the book. Apart from being mysterious and adventurous it seems to capture the boy's emotional state and what effect the incident has on him very effectively.
